Meet the PURL team, Laura Linneman, developmental editor

The PLY team has worked with Laura Linneman for years and we couldn't imagine starting a knitting magazine without her extensive knowledge and energy.

Laura has been passionate about knitting since the 90s. In 2008, she wrote LaLa’s Simple Shawl which started a journey into knitting design. In 2010, she cofounded one of the first video podcasts about knitting and crafting called TheKnitgirllls and soon after started the Super Summer Knitogether retreat (SSK).  She has been a frequent contributor to PLY magazine and host the PLY Spinners Guild Sunday spin-ins.

As a middle school librarian, Laura has a passion for learning and literacy.  She believes that education should be a continuing process for everyone, something she hopes to reflect in the pages of PURL.
