Meet the PURL team: Tian Connaughton, developmental editor
You've already met Jacey and Karen (in the Kickstarter video) and over the next few weeks we'll be introducing you to the rest of PURL team!
First up is Tian Connaughton, one of PURL's developmental editors. She's long been a contributor and a tech editor for PLY and when deciding to go forward with PURL, we knew we wanted her on our team!
Tian is multifaceted expert in knit and crochet design, a skilled technical editor, an accomplished author, and strategic business coach who approaches the fiber industry differently. Since leaving her corporate finance career behind in 2012, Tian has built a thriving business centered around creativity, inclusivity, and empowerment.
Dedicated to helping women and non-binary people, especially those of color, Tian's mission is to enable them to create lives they love. Whether through designing knit and crochet garments that fit perfectly and boost confidence, crafting stories where diverse voices are represented, or guiding individuals in building profitable and sustainable businesses, Tian's impact is profound and far-reaching.
Tian's motto is A Rising Tide Lifts All Boats! That is evident in how she shows up and in all she does.
