Sneak Peek: PLY Winter 2025 issue
Share

PLY's December issue is all about those lofty and warm woolen yarns. We have explanations and deep dives on the various long draw drafts on wheels, e-spinners, spindles, and charkhas.

You'll find experiments testing woolen yarns for warmth and durability as well as their suitability for knitting lace or cabled stitch patterns and for making socks. The issue also has an experiment running through a series of finishing options and how they affect the yarn.
And we have three gorgeous patterns in the issue: an extra warm bulky cowl, a luxurious wrap, and a squishy brioche hat.

The digital version of the issue is available December 1 and the print version starts shipping December 10.
